TLDR Ayurvedic treatment successfully promoted hair regrowth in alopecia areata.
The document described a case of alopecia areata, an autoimmune disease causing patchy hair loss, successfully treated using Ayurvedic methods. Despite advancements in medical science, there was no definite cure for alopecia areata, and conventional treatments often had side effects. The Ayurvedic approach involved Prachhana karma, a localized therapy to stimulate hair follicles and improve blood circulation, along with the application of Madhukadi lepa, a medicated paste, and Bhringarajadi rasayana, a nutritional supplement for hair growth. This combination was reported to be effective in promoting hair regrowth in the patient, suggesting Ayurveda as a promising alternative treatment for alopecia areata.
