TLDR Allogenic ASCs and ECM transplants are safe and effective for tissue regeneration.
This systematic review examined the potential of allogenic stromal vascular fraction (SVF) and decellularized extracellular matrices (ECM) as advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMP) in tissue regeneration. The review followed PRISMA-P guidelines and analyzed 341 articles, with 19 included in a meta-analysis. The studies primarily focused on in vitro results and pre-clinical experiments, with applications in treating conditions such as perianal fistulas, diabetic foot ulcers, and knee osteoarthritis, among others. The findings indicated that allogenic ASCs and ECM transplants were safe and effective, with no major side effects reported.
