TLDR Adipose tissues and platelet-rich plasma help tissue repair and healing in surgery.
This review highlights the promising role of adipose-derived tissues and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in regenerative medicine and aesthetic surgery, emphasizing their ability to stimulate tissue repair, enhance angiogenesis, and reduce inflammation. The combination of PRP with fat grafts has shown improved graft retention and healing outcomes, particularly in facial reconstruction, wound healing, and breast surgery. Despite the demonstrated benefits, the review notes that variability in preparation methods and application protocols limits the comparability of studies. It calls for further research to standardize techniques and validate outcomes to expand the clinical use of these therapies.
