Supplementary Material for: Activin B Promotes Initiation and Development of Hair Follicles in Mice
January 2013
TLDR Activin B helps start and grow hair follicles in mice.
The study investigated the role of activin B in hair follicle development in mice, using both cultured and neonatal mouse skin models. Activin B, applied at concentrations of 5, 10, or 50 ng/ml, was found to effectively induce the initiation and promote the development of hair follicles. The treated hair follicles transitioned from the telogen stage to the anagen stage and remained in the anagen stage, indicating that activin B played a significant role in promoting hair follicle growth and development in mice.
