TLDR People with hair loss often have lower levels of iron, vitamin D, and vitamin B12.
The study titled "A comparative study on the association of serum ferritin and vitamin D, and B12 levels among individuals with hair loss" involved 500 participants and found a significant correlation between hair loss and low levels of serum ferritin, vitamin D, and B12. The study revealed that individuals with hair loss had lower levels of these nutrients compared to those without hair loss. Specifically, 70% of the participants with hair loss had low serum ferritin levels, 65% had low vitamin D levels, and 60% had low vitamin B12 levels. The study suggests that maintaining adequate levels of these nutrients could potentially help in managing hair loss.
