    The study investigated the role of the LPA4 receptor in zebrafish, which was structurally distinct from LPA1–3 receptors. Researchers used microinjection of LPA4 morpholino on one-cell stage zebrafish embryos and observed several phenotypes. These included edema around the pericardial region, suggesting vascular leakage or lymphatic vessel failure, a significant decrease in heartbeats with slowed blood flow, and a slight decrease in intersegmental vessel numbers, indicating abnormal blood vessel development. The study concluded that LPA4 might regulate blood and lymph vessel development in zebrafish.
