The study investigated the 5α-reductase inhibitory activity of Urtica fissa E. Pritz's aqueous extract using an in vitro model with 5α-reductase from male rat prostates, testosterone, and NADPH. The results showed that the extract significantly increased fluorescence absorbance compared to the reference group, indicating that Urtica fissa E. Pritz's extract could inhibit 5α-reductase activity in vitro.
