    GlossaryTargeted Therapies

treatments that specifically target disease-causing molecules or cells

Targeted therapies, also known as precision medicine, are treatments designed to specifically target and attack the molecular and cellular mechanisms driving a disease, such as cancer or autoimmune conditions. Unlike traditional treatments that affect all rapidly dividing cells, targeted therapies aim to minimize damage to normal cells by focusing on specific genetic mutations or proteins involved in the disease process.
