inflammatory disease causing granulomas in organs like lungs

Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease where tiny clumps of inflammatory cells, called granulomas, form in various organs, most commonly the lungs and lymph nodes. These granulomas can alter the normal structure and function of the affected organs, potentially leading to symptoms like persistent cough, shortness of breath, and fatigue. The exact cause of sarcoidosis is unknown, but it is believed to involve an abnormal immune response.
