    Glossary Histidine

essential amino acid crucial for tissue growth and repair

Histidine is an essential amino acid that plays a crucial role in the growth and repair of tissues, as well as in the production of histamine, a compound involved in immune responses, digestion, and sleep regulation. It is also important for maintaining the myelin sheaths that protect nerve cells and is involved in the production of red and white blood cells.
