GlossaryPremenopausal Women (Women in Reproductive Age)

women who haven't yet reached menopause, still menstruating regularly

Premenopausal women are those who have not yet reached menopause, the stage in a woman's life when menstrual periods permanently stop. This phase, also known as the reproductive or childbearing age, typically includes women from their first menstrual period (menarche) until the onset of menopause, which usually occurs between the ages of 45 and 55. During this time, women experience regular menstrual cycles and have the potential to conceive.
