small, benign skin growths often found in skin folds

Skin tags, also known as acrochordons, are small, benign growths that commonly appear on areas where the skin folds, such as the neck, armpits, groin, and eyelids. They are composed of collagen fibers and blood vessels surrounded by a layer of skin and are generally harmless, though they can sometimes become irritated or cosmetically bothersome.
