research Exploration of Aloe Vera, Centella Asiatica, Green Tea, and Pueraria Mirifica Extracts in Modulating Stem Cell-Like Properties for Hair Rejuvenation Through Beta-Catenin Stabilization and Activation of the Akt Signaling Cascade in Human Dermal Papilla Cells
The study investigated the effects of natural extracts from Aloe vera, Centella asiatica, Green Tea, and Pueraria mirifica on human dermal papilla cells, focusing on hair rejuvenation. The combination of these extracts (ACGP) did not affect cell viability and significantly enhanced cell proliferation and stem cell-like properties. Specifically, ACGP treatment increased the expression of stem cell factors OCT4, NANOG, and SOX2 by 40-, 110-, and 30-fold at the mRNA level, and 2-, 3-, and 2-fold at the protein level, respectively. This was achieved through the stabilization of β-catenin and activation of the Akt signaling pathway, demonstrating a synergistic effect in promoting hair growth.
