Inner Ear Hair Cells are specialized sensory cells located within the cochlea of the inner ear. They play a crucial role in hearing by converting sound vibrations into electrical signals that are transmitted to the brain. These cells have hair-like structures called stereocilia that move in response to sound waves, initiating the process of auditory signal transduction. Damage to these cells can lead to hearing loss, as they do not regenerate in humans.
