TLDR Women in Raichur slums need better health awareness and medical help.
The study on women's health in the slums of Raichur district, Karnataka, involved 3,430 respondents across seven slum areas. It found that younger women frequently suffer from neglected blood pressure issues, while malaria is prevalent due to waterlogging. Women also experience joint pains from physical labor and intense fungal diseases leading to hair loss. Poor sanitation contributes to widespread parasitic diseases. The study concludes that there is a need for increased health awareness and medical interventions in these communities to address these issues.
