TLDR The Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway is important for skin wound healing and affects inflammation, cell growth, and other healing processes.
The Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway plays a crucial role in wound healing, a complex biological process involving inflammation, cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, angiogenesis, extracellular matrix deposition, and tissue remodeling. The activation of this pathway is involved in the occurrence, development, regeneration, repair, and related treatment of skin wounds. It impacts key processes of wound healing such as inflammation, cell proliferation, angiogenesis, hair follicle regeneration, and skin fibrosis. Additionally, inhibitors of the Wnt signaling pathway also play a role in wound healing. This pathway is regulated by many inflammatory factors and growth factors.
