TLDR People with Telogen Effluvium have lower vitamin D levels.
This study investigated the relationship between vitamin D levels and Telogen Effluvium (TE) by comparing 45 patients with TE to 45 healthy controls. The research found that individuals with TE had significantly lower levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D compared to the control group. Additionally, there was a higher prevalence of inadequate and insufficient vitamin D levels among TE patients. A negative correlation was observed between the duration of TE and vitamin D levels, and those with a family history of TE had even lower vitamin D levels. No correlation was found between age and vitamin D levels.
