TLDR Unani medicine effectively reduced premature greying of hair in a 27-year-old man.
A case study in Unani medicine explored the treatment of Premature Greying of Hair (PGH) in a 27-year-old male with a 12-year history of the condition. The patient had no family history or systemic disorders. The Unani approach attributes PGH to disturbances in nutritive power, weak digestion, and predominance of certain bodily humors. The patient was treated with Unani formulations Jawarish Shahi, Kushta-e-Faulad, and Itrifal Ustukhuddos for 10 weeks. The treatment resulted in significant improvement in the patient's hair whitening score, indicating a successful management of PGH through this traditional method.
