Tremella fuciformis polysaccharide (TFP) is the primary bioactive component of the edible fungus Tremella fuciformis, known for its diverse bioactivities such as antioxidant, antitumor, immunomodulatory, memory-enhancing, anti-inflammatory, hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, skin-protective, and gut microbiota modulation effects. This review highlights recent research on TFP, detailing its preparation methods, structural characteristics, and biological activities, and discusses its potential applications in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic industries. It also outlines future research directions and development prospects for TFP.
