TLDR Fluralaner effectively cured dogs with severe skin issues caused by mites.
Eight dogs suffering from severe itching, alopecia, hair loss, and erythematous crusts were presented at the veterinary clinical complex, PGIVER, Jaipur, with symptoms persisting for 1 to 2.5 months. Clinical examination revealed lesions on various parts of their bodies. Previous treatments with injectable and topical medications were ineffective. Deep skin scraping confirmed the presence of Demodex canis mites. The dogs were then treated with fluralaner (Bravecto), along with an antibiotic tablet, immune booster, and omega 3 and omega 6 syrup. After one month, the dogs showed partial recovery, and by two months, they had fully recovered without complications.
