TLDR Effective treatment significantly improves pododermatitis in dogs, reducing symptoms and extending remission.
The study investigated the clinical signs and treatment efficacy of pododermatitis in dogs, revealing that 53.3% of cases involved lesions on 2 paws, with common symptoms including erosive and ulcerative inflammation, alopecia, and pustules. Treatment with Bravecto, Cefuroxime, Orungal, Apoquel, and Derinat significantly improved outcomes, increasing therapy efficacy from 28.6% to 66.7%, reducing treatment duration to 21 days, and extending remission to 185 days. Future research aims to standardize diagnostic criteria using clinical, morphological, and biochemical blood parameters.
