Treatment of Androgenetic Alopecia in Females in Reproductive Age with Topical Estradiolbenzoate, Prednisolone, and Salicylic Acid

TLDR The treatment slightly increased hair growth and was safe for most women.
The study evaluated the efficacy and safety of a topical solution containing estradiolbenzoate, prednisolon, and salicylic acid for treating androgenetic alopecia in females. Conducted as an open trial with 45 female participants aged 18 to 42, 42 completed the 32-week trial. Results showed that 59.52% of patients experienced no hair regrowth, 33.33% had minimal regrowth, and 7.14% had moderate regrowth. The mean nonvellus hair count increased by 15.79. The treatment was deemed efficacious and safe, with no significant adverse effects reported.
