TLDR More research is needed to find the best long-term treatments for Alopecia Areata.
Alopecia Areata (AA) is an autoimmune condition causing hair loss, with treatments ranging from conventional methods like corticosteroids to advanced options such as phototherapy and biological therapies, including promising JAK inhibitors. Unconventional treatments like garlic and onion juice were also reviewed. Despite the variety of treatments, their long-term effectiveness and benefits need further research, and more studies are required to optimize and personalize treatment strategies.
