TLDR Milk powder in Romania often has unsafe levels of aluminum and other elements, posing health risks.
The study analyzed seven milk powder samples from the Romanian market and found that most samples had element levels exceeding the maximum allowable limits (AML), particularly aluminum, which was consistently above safe levels by up to six times. Calcium, chlorine, and phosphorus also frequently surpassed AMLs, with discrepancies noted between labeled and actual content. These findings raised concerns about the safety of milk powder products and the accuracy of their labeling, suggesting potential health risks due to excessive intake of these elements.
