Topical Minoxidil Overdose in a Young Man With Androgenetic Alopecia: A Case Report

Oral minoxidil is effective for hair loss but can cause cardiovascular side effects, such as pericardial effusion, especially in those with genetic predispositions. Starting with low doses and monitoring cardiovascular health are advised to reduce risks.

Minoxidil can cause side effects like wrinkles, heart issues, dizziness, and edema, but some users report no issues with oral minoxidil. Oral minoxidil is considered easier to use and may have fewer side effects compared to topical minoxidil.
