TLDR The natural topical treatment improved rabbits' skin and hair condition.
In a pilot study conducted in 2020, 30 New Zealand rabbits with skin problems were divided into two groups to test the efficacy of a topical treatment made from natural ingredients, including essential oils, polyunsaturated fatty acids, and Vitamin E. The treatment group showed significant improvements in hair shine, skin hydration, and reductions in flaking, odor, and hair loss when evaluated on days 1, 14, 28, and 35 after treatment, with notable differences observed on days 28 and 35 for glossy hair (p≤0.0001) and from days 14-35 for hair loss reduction (p=0.001). In contrast, the control group did not show these improvements, indicating that the topical application of the natural solution was effective in enhancing the overall skin and hair condition of the rabbits.
