TLDR The growth factor cocktail significantly increased hair growth in patients with androgenetic alopecia.
The study evaluated the therapeutic effects of a growth factor cocktail (CellcurinTM) containing FGF5s and NMN on androgenetic alopecia in a split study with 20 patients (11 men and 9 women). The right side of the scalp was treated with the growth factor cocktail (GFC), while the left side received normal saline. After 12 weeks, the GFC-treated side showed a significant increase in hair density (6.2±0.43 hairs/cm², p<0.0001) and hair diameter (1.95±0.44 µm, p<0.0112) compared to the saline-treated side, which showed no significant changes. This indicated that the growth factor cocktail was effective in promoting hair growth in patients with androgenetic alopecia.
