TLDR Cellcurex™ treatment increased hair growth and thickness but caused pain and bleeding.
The study assessed the effects of a new long-acting growth factor cocktail, Cellcurex™, delivered via microneedling on the scalps of 22 patients with androgenetic alopecia over 12 weeks. The right side of the scalp received the treatment, resulting in a significant increase in hair density and diameter, while the left side, treated with saline, showed no significant changes. Despite the positive outcomes in hair regrowth and thickness, the procedure caused pain and minimal bleeding, highlighting the need for further research to evaluate long-term efficacy and reduce adverse effects.
