Amyand's hernia, a rare condition where the vermiform appendix is found in a hernial sac, was diagnosed in a 62-year-old man with a reducible tumoral mass in the right inguinal region. The case was classified as type 1 according to Lossanoff and Basson’s classification. The surgical approach involved hernioplasty using the Lichtenstein tension-free mesh repair with a composite polypropylene mesh, without performing an appendectomy. The management of Amyand’s hernia is complex and relies on both literature recommendations and the surgeon's experience due to the unique clinical features of each case.
