TLDR Deltsid 7.5 is the most effective treatment for bovine psoroptosis.
The study evaluated the effectiveness of different acaricidal drugs on bovine psoroptosis in Aberdeen Angus cattle, divided into four groups (n=10 each). The drugs tested were Meradoc (doramectin 1%), Ivermec (ivermectin 1%), and Deltsid 7.5 (deltamethrin, diflubenzuron, and piperonyl butoxide). Results showed that macrocyclic lactones only eliminated larval, nymphal, and adult phases of Psoroptes mites but not their eggs. Deltsid 7.5 was more effective, eradicating all mite stages and promoting hair regrowth and skin healing by day 28. The study recommends using Deltsid 7.5 and alternating treatments to prevent resistance.
