TLDR Black rice extract ointment significantly promotes hair growth in Wistar rats.
The study investigated the effect of black rice extract ointment on hair follicle growth in Wistar rats, using 30 rats divided into four groups (control, and 10%, 20%, and 30% ointment treatments). Over 21 days, the results showed significant hair growth, with the 30% ointment group achieving the highest average growth of 0.851 cm. The black rice extract, rich in antioxidants like alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and steroids/triterpenoids, was found to promote hair and skin health and prevent premature aging.

Some suggest trying rosemary oil alongside other treatments, while others emphasize the difference between the extract used in the study and the oil.
