TLDR Nutritional supplements with natural DHT inhibitors are effective for treating androgenetic alopecia.
A survey involving 236 healthcare professionals in India examined the management of androgenetic alopecia (AGA) with nutritional supplements. The study found that AGA is prevalent among Indians aged 20-30, particularly in males. A significant majority (58.47%) of the respondents believed that supplements containing dihydrotestosterone (DHT) inhibitors are effective adjunct treatments for AGA, with 99.15% reporting good to excellent efficacy. Additionally, 92.36% agreed that a 15- or 30-day supplement pack improves patient compliance. The findings suggest that a novel nutritional supplement with a natural DHT inhibitor is a beneficial adjuvant in AGA treatment.
