TLDR Hair transplants with cortisone can help treat stubborn eyebrow hair loss.
This document reported a case of a 30-year-old Caucasian man with alopecia areata affecting his scalp, arms, and right eyebrow, who underwent an experimental hair transplant to his eyebrow after limited success with intralesional triamcinolone acetonide. The transplant provided 8 months of relief from eyebrow alopecia areata, and the patient was maintained on monthly intralesional cortisone. The study concluded that follicular unit transplantation, alongside intermittent cortisone injections, could be a viable treatment option for resistant patches of alopecia areata.
