TLDR Stray cats in Bogor have skin issues, stress signs, possible parasites, and low water intake.
The study assessed the health status of 20 stray cats in Bogor city using physical, blood, and urine examinations. Physical exams revealed common skin and fur issues, such as ectoparasites and alopecia, and stress-related increases in heart and respiratory rates. Blood tests showed normal hematological values except for elevated eosinophils and low platelet counts, suggesting possible parasitic infestations and platelet issues. Urine tests indicated hyposthenuria, likely due to low water intake or fasting, with normal urine color and no protein presence. Epithelial cells were found in 76% of urine samples.
