TLDR Steroid treatment improved both gut and nerve symptoms in a man with Cronkhite–Canada syndrome.
A 71-year-old man with Cronkhite–Canada syndrome (CCS) presented with mononeuritis multiplex (MM) and symptoms including weight loss, hair loss, gastrointestinal issues, hypoesthesia, and paresthesia. Electrophysiological studies confirmed MM, and the patient showed significant improvement in both gastrointestinal and neurological symptoms over 2 years with steroid therapy, suggesting an autoimmune mechanism underlying CCS.
