TLDR The dressing speeds up wound healing using sound waves without needing extra devices.
The study introduces a flexible adhesive self-powered wound dressing (FASW) that enhances skin regeneration using daily sound waves, eliminating the need for skin bending or external sound devices. The FASW dressing is composed of a bioadhesive film, a unidirectional fluorinated conductive film, and a liquid metal interlayer, offering properties like biocompatibility, stretchability, tissue adhesion, and recyclability due to chitosan cross-linking. In vivo experiments demonstrated that the dressing effectively reduced inflammation and stimulated hair follicle regeneration, leveraging natural energies to improve the treatment of chronic wounds, particularly benefiting individuals with movement disorders.
