Skin Regeneration After Chemical Burn Under the Effect of Taxifolin-Based Preparations

    V. S. Shubina, Yu. V. Shatalin
TLDR Taxifolin-based treatments help skin heal after chemical burns.
The study investigated the effects of liposome preparations containing taxifolin oligomers and taxifolin conjugates with carbonyl compounds on skin regeneration after chemical burns. The results showed that these flavonoid conjugates enhanced the regeneration of skin, hair follicles, and sebaceous glands. Among the tested preparations, the taxifolin conjugate with acetaldehyde was the most effective, demonstrating wound-healing activity comparable to the established preparation Olasol. The findings suggested that taxifolin conjugates with carbonyl compounds could be used to develop combined wound- and burn-healing treatments.

A user shared their initial experiences with The Ordinary hair density serum, which contains Redensyl (taxifolin). They observed increased hair volume but also developed pimples, likely due to the serum stimulating sebaceous glands.

Redensyl, which is a topical alternative to Minoxidil for hair loss. It may have advantages such as not making the hair greasy and lasting longer after discontinuing use than minoxidil. There are some positive reports from users, but also some negative ones, so it's unclear how effective this treatment will be in comparison to Minoxidil and other treatments like Finasteride or RU58841.
