Skin Related Problems Among Women of Reproductive Age Suffering from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

    TLDR Women with PCOS often experience skin issues like excess hair, acne, and hair loss.
    This study of 100 women aged 15-45 with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) at the People's University of Medical and Health Sciences for Women in Pakistan found a high prevalence of skin-related issues. Hirsutism was present in 75.63% of participants, acne in 65.0%, female pattern hair loss in 34.38%, acanthosis nigricans in 30.0%, seborrhea in 24.38%, striae in 11.88%, and acrochordons in 11.25%. These symptoms are crucial for diagnosing PCOS and can significantly affect patients' psychological well-being and quality of life.
