TLDR Silver nanoparticles made from Ziziphus nummularia fruit extract promote hair growth and fight bacteria and fungi.
The study successfully synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using Ziziphus nummularia fruit extract and characterized them through various techniques. The AgNPs demonstrated significant antimicrobial activity against several bacterial and fungal strains, including S. aureus and Candida albicans. Additionally, the AgNPs showed promising results in promoting hair growth in rabbits, comparable to the effects of minoxidil. This green synthesis method offers an eco-friendly and effective approach for producing AgNPs with potential applications in pharmaceuticals and hair growth treatments. Further toxicological studies and clinical trials are recommended before commercial use.
