    Ziziphus mauritiana, or Indian jujube, is a plant with significant ethnopharmacological, phytochemical, and pharmacological properties, including anxiolytic, antioxidant, antimicrobial, anticancer, antidiabetic, and anti-ulcer activities. Its bioactive compounds, such as terpenoids, flavonoids, and alkaloids, contribute to these medicinal properties. The plant has shown effectiveness in treating various ailments and managing conditions like diabetes, inflammation, and cancer. Additionally, its extracts have demonstrated potential in reducing blood glucose levels, inhibiting cancer cell proliferation, and exhibiting antibacterial, antifungal, and antioxidant activities. Despite its traditional use and demonstrated biological activities, further toxicological studies are recommended to ensure safety. The review underscores the plant's potential for future medicinal applications and economic benefits.
