TLDR Scalp microinfusion with dutasteride is a safe and promising treatment for male hair loss.
A 12-month observational case series involving 30 male patients with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) evaluated the effectiveness of scalp microinfusion with dutasteride using the MMP® technique. The study found that 96.7% of patients experienced stabilization or improvement, with 76.7% showing clinical improvement and 80.0% reporting personal improvement. The treatment was particularly effective in early to intermediate stages of AGA and was well tolerated, with only mild transient local reactions. The study concludes that this method is a safe and promising treatment for male AGA, though further controlled studies are recommended.
