The study investigated the efficacy and safety of using the MMP® technique for microinfusion of dutasteride compared to a saline placebo in treating male androgenetic alopecia (AGA). Conducted on 8 adult male patients, the trial involved three monthly applications. While no statistical difference was observed in clinical assessments between the groups, patients reported significant improvement in the vertex area with dutasteride. The study concludes that dutasteride microinfusion using MMP® is effective for male AGA, and microneedling with MMP® alone also shows effectiveness.
