TLDR Age, stress, and anger increase the risk of hair fall.
The study investigates the risk factors associated with Khalitya (hair fall) in relation to different Deha Prakriti (body constitution) among male adults aged 20-50 years. Using a case-control design with 50 cases and 50 controls, the study found that age is a significant risk factor for hair fall (p = 0.0365). As age increases, the likelihood of hair fall also rises, contributing to a higher incidence of male pattern baldness. Additionally, increased levels of stress and anger, which elevate Vata and Pitta doshas, are linked to higher hair fall.
