    This study investigated the effects of topical rice bran oil compared to 2% minoxidil on preventing senile alopecia in 30 Wistar rats exposed to UVB light. Results showed that both treatments significantly increased VEGF levels, hair follicle diameter, and hair length compared to the control group, with no significant differences between the rice bran oil and minoxidil groups. The findings suggest that rice bran oil is as effective as 2% minoxidil in preventing hair loss and promoting hair growth, making it a potential alternative treatment for senile alopecia.
