TLDR Experienced professionals can fix bad scalp micropigmentation with good results.
This retrospective study examined 120 patients who underwent corrective procedures due to unsatisfactory outcomes from scalp micropigmentation (SMP). The majority of patients (89.2%) had their initial SMP done at beauty salons. Corrective measures included hair transplant surgery (61.7%), combined hair transplant and SMP (20.8%), and laser tattoo removal followed by SMP (13.3%). Patients reported high satisfaction with an average score of 4.5/5, and physicians rated the outcomes at 4.6/5. The study concludes that appropriate revisions by experienced professionals can achieve satisfactory results for inadequately performed SMP.
