This case report discusses a rare instance of subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus (SCLE) affecting the chin, initially misdiagnosed. The patient exhibited an annular, erythematous, scaling plaque on the left chin. A definitive diagnosis was achieved through dermoscopic analysis, reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM), and skin biopsy. Treatment with systemic corticosteroids and immunomodulators led to significant lesion regression by the 19-week follow-up. The study highlights the effectiveness of combining dermoscopy and RCM in reducing diagnostic errors and facilitating real-time treatment monitoring.
