Rapid onset of action of minoxidil 5% topical solution in a 4-month German observational study on both patients and physicians

In a 4-month German observational study involving 733 male subjects with androgenetic alopecia, including 150 self-treating physicians, the minoxidil 5% topical solution demonstrated effectiveness in reducing the affected area, promoting new hair growth, and improving hair density. By month 4, 67.3% of subjects saw a reduction in the affected area, and 74.2% experienced improved hair density. The solution was rated as very effective or effective by 62.5% of users. The onset of action was rapid, with over 60% of users reporting efficacy within 2 months. Adverse events were minimal, occurring in 1.8% of participants, primarily involving skin-related issues. Overall, the study confirmed the solution's efficacy and safety for treating androgenetic alopecia.
