The study compared the effectiveness of intralesional triamcinolone acetonide versus microneedling with triamcinolone acetonide for alopecia areata treatment in 50 patients. The results showed a statistically significant reduction of the SALT score and all dystrophic hair markers of alopecia areata by dermoscopy at the end of the study versus baseline in both groups.
