The study investigated the effects of combining platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with tissue-Stromal Vascular Fraction (tSVF) to form Platelet Rich Stroma (PRS) for treating osteoarthritis of the knee. Involving 15 patients aged 43–75 with knee osteoarthritis, the study found that a single injection of PRS significantly improved pain and functionality, as measured by VAS and WOMAC scores, over 12 months. Lysholm scores also showed improvement, and no complications were reported. The study concluded that PRS could enhance knee function and reduce pain and stiffness for up to a year, though further trials are needed to optimize treatment and assess long-term effects.
