TLDR Platelet-rich plasma therapy effectively treated laser-induced skin lightening.
This case report highlights the successful use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy in treating laser-induced hypopigmentation in a 28-year-old Caucasian female. After unsuccessful topical corticosteroid treatment, the patient underwent three PRP sessions, each spaced 6 weeks apart, which led to almost complete clearance of the hypopigmentation. The findings suggest that PRP could be a promising, non-invasive treatment option for various types of hypopigmentation, offering effective results for patients with this condition.
